Digital Font Design

Students use digital tools to manipulate fonts and design original typefaces, while surveying the history of typographic technology.

Lettering for Typographers

Students learn various historic calligraphic hands, lettering techniques, and experimental forms of lettering to broaden the creative skill-set and deepen the understanding of the aesthetics of modern type.

Publication Design

In their final projects, students design and mock-up a fictional magazine based on their interests.

Design for Social Issues – Reconsider 9-11

Advanced graphic design students designed posters to capture their thoughts and feeling about the events of 9/11/2001 and subsequent national and global responses. Traveling exhibit.

Design Studio – Theatrical Posters

Students in the design and production studio create real products for clients within the college community including posters for the Theater Department's productions, which are printed by students in the print production program.
